In a Twitter thread published on Sept. 11, Armstrong doubled down on his earlier claims that Apple continues to block some functionalities for cryptocurrency developers.  The CEO alleged that other cryptocurrency firms are “reluctant to speak out on these topics for fear of retaliation,” but that he feels the need to speak out as Coinbase has exhausted regular…

Coinbase CEO Calls Out Apple For Biased Apple Store Cryptocurrency Restrictions

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has spoken out about Apple’s strict policy against cryptocurrency and DeFi applications on its App Store. Apple is currently under hot criticism from the gaming industry following the delisting of its most popular gaming app Fortnite. Just like Google, Apple charges developers a commission of 30% on the App Store and doesn’t allow apps to have an alternative payment method that links gamers and developers directly. Fortnite creator attacks Google’s chokehold on Android market in lawsuit over V-Bucks payments

New documents in Epic Games v. Google show the gaming company attacking Google for misusing the Android ecosystem — once touted for its openness — to muscle out competition. In a Sept. 4 filing in Fornite creator Epic Games’ antitrust lawsuit against Google, the gaming firm has accused the omnipresent tech giant of violating its founding “don’t be evil” dictum and actively uses its market power to overcharge app developers. The core issue of the current case is that, earlier in August, Epic Games announced direct payments on mobile versions of Fortnite on Android and iOS. The payments would give…

Apple stock market cap shows just how small crypto still is

One takeaway? Crypto appears to have a lot of room for growth. While the crypto space has seen tremendous growth over the past decade, the asset class still holds a tiny amount of value compared to mainstream markets, especially when pitted against giants such as Apple.  Apple stock (AAPL) holds a staggering $2 trillion market cap, dwarfing all the speculative capital held within the entire crypto space, which, at press time, totals a mere $342.8 billion according to CoinMarketCap.  The crypto industry has grown from simply a concept in 2008, with the inception of Bitcoin's white paper, to hosting billions of invested…

Why This Pundit Sees Bitcoin’s Market Cap Surpassing Apple’s Within 7 Years

A pro-Bitcoin crypto analyst Timothy Peterson says Bitcoin’s market cap is “likely” to surpass that of Apple, S&P 500’s stock with the most eminent market cap within 7 years from now. This is based on Bitcoin’s trend of growth in the last ten years. The pattern of this growth projected for the future shows that Bitcoin is much steeper than that of Apple and will cross it under the 7-year period. “#Apple sits atop the S&P 500 in market cap. #bitcoin’s stated market cap likely to exceed $AAPL within 7 years based on trends of the past 10 years.  That…

A Bank of America elemzői szerint a tengerentúli technológiai vállalatok részvényeinek a piaci kapitalizációja túllépte a 9.1 billió dollárt.

A közösségi háló árbevételének a nagy része onnan származik, hogy hatalmas, folyamatosan frissített adatbázist építenek a felhasználóikról, amihez a hozzáférést aztán továbbértékesítik külső cégeknek.
